The improvement of human spaces fuels my desire to create. From small figurines and utilitarian sculptures, to monumental permanent installations, my work serves to enhance both its location and the scenarios desired. A life devoted to travel and exploration of worldly cultures certainly informs my content and style.
Much of my work in the last two years is a collaboration with my partner Tanner Coleman (www.tannercoleman.com).
I received a BFA in ceramics from The University of Georgia and a MFA in ceramics from California State University, Long Beach. For the past 2 years Tanner and I have been resident artists and/or visiting professors at the University of Idaho, Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Cal State University, Long Beach, Columbus Brick Factory, and SODA Studios Residency in Western Australia. Currently we are resident artists at the New Taipei City Yingge Ceramics Museum in Taiwan.
